Bloodshot is the newest movie released in the Hitman franchise. It focuses on a series of assassinations by Caleb Parkhurst as he becomes disillusioned with his chosen career.
Director/writer/producer Jason Blum (Pusher, The Purge) took a couple of years to complete the film and went into pre-production almost as soon as it was greenlit. Bloodshot is an action packed movie that is like no other in the Hitman series.
As a side note, there are quite a few viral video clips found on the internet relating to the movie. I'm sure you've heard of one of them. This one caught my attention because of how entertaining it was.
Bloodshot is an interesting film because of its subject matter. In fact, it's not really meant to be anything more than a simple cut and dry action flick. Yet, for a certain segment of the audience, Bloodshot is a very interesting movie. I don't think you'll find much controversy with this one.
There is quite a bit going on in this movie. In fact, one might say it's all happening right before our eyes. You'd think there would be some plot development in the first half of the movie, but no, you're stuck in the middle watching everything happen.
Bloodshot is a funny movie, too. It has a lot of bright jokes and character interactions that keep the movie from getting boring. It's easy to relate to Bloodshot because you get the sense that he wants to do the right thing and is doing everything in his power to try and keep his family safe. This is a great trait to have as a character.
Bloodshot is a fairly fast paced movie that will keep you glued to your seat. The action scenes were pretty good as well. Jason Blum managed to produce a quality film.
